The Romany is the boat that set the US sea kayak market on its ear. A 16’ rough water boat for small to medium paddlers, has no equal, was voted best rough water sea kayak in 2008 by Sea Kayaker Magazine. 13. Romany Surf, 16.14’X21. 65”. Fantastic 16’ sea kayak for larger paddlers.
This is the mid-sized larger cockpit version of the Romany ideal for paddlers that are too big for the Romany Classic. Knee bumps and the larger cockpit make this a very comfortable day boat/short trip boat for paddlers over 165 lbs. and of average height. Shorter men and women with wider frames absolutely love this sea kayak. Stable, maneuverable and excellent tracking in the wind. There is excellent initial and secondary in this fine hull. 14. Romany XL. 16.75’X22.24” This was a new design for 2009, a Romany for big paddlers. Has enough room for shorter multi-day trips and an enlarged cockpit.
The Romany XL was designed for the larger paddlers; over 6’ with long legs and over 200 lbs., this sea kayak is big enough to travel in comfort, and easy to paddle and rescue. 16. Explorers 17’6”X21.5”. Classic Expedition Tripping boats – World Famous !! Easy to paddle and easy to rescue, this kayak is excellent in rough water or calm.
